- Development Permit Required – A valid permit must be obtained before placing any portable (temporary) sign on private property, with permission from the landowner.
- Placement and Visibility – Signs must not obstruct traffic sightlines, must be set back at least 1.0 m from any property line, and separated by a minimum of 61 m from other portable signs.
- Illumination Restrictions – Illuminated signs require additional review and approval by the Development Authority in coordination with City Engineering and other relevant agencies.
- Attachment and Location Constraints – Signs must be freestanding (not permanently affixed to the ground) and must not be placed with intent to be visible from Queen Elizabeth II Highway (HWY 2), Highway 2A, or associated ramps.
